Today I've been making Pecan Pies. Years ago my Mom died and Dad remarried an Arkansas lady. It didn't last (No offense) but the best thing that came out of that relationship was her pecan pie recipe.

We used to bake cookies and make other goodies every Christmas, but now that it's just my daughter (who can't eat carbs) and myself (who shouldn't), I don't do it anymore. I love the photo of your spattered, well-worn recipe cards. All my favorite ones look like that, too. :-)
