I tried growing a purple coneflower this year after giving up a few years ago. I took photos every few days as it made its emergence. I love the darkness and sharp thistle-like look they have.(All edits done in Lightroom unless noted.)

ReplyDeleteYay, success at growing purple coneflowers! I love the progressive shots, and the final beautiful blooms!
ReplyDeleteRoxi, wonderful as usual. Nothing speaks to me more than flowers and the many variations in tone and color is so awesome. The quote I had to write down, spoke to me also, a new one for me. Beautiful so beautiful is your post.
ReplyDeleteI am amazed at your various beautiful images of this flower. And your edits are inspirational too. I am planning to plant some coneflowers in my garden next year alongside a spiky lavender looking thing that seems to grow successfully here...both are long-blooming.
ReplyDeleteLove the quote too.
