Rather than reinventing the wheel, here is a fabulous tutorial by Jerry Jobe. He does end it with negative comments such as how long the images take to render but I didn't find that to be the case on my iPad. I think they have improved that in the last update.
I really do love this app, especial when combined with some others.
A few examples...
Stackables then Impresso.
If you love impressionistic style art, give Artista Impresso a try.

If you're having a hard time with the tutorial link, it's been updated. If it's still not working for you, just Google Appwhisperer Jerry Jobe Artista Impresso.
Oh thanks for mentioning this I love it!
ReplyDeleteSuch an artist, I love the header. I just don't use my iPhone much at all, of course I still have the 5s so maybe that is the reason. But since I got the sweet Fuji XT1 that I use everyday could be a reason the phone has not been used. I just downloaded the Photoshop Mix app the other day and tried it and I think I might really like this app.
ReplyDeleteI love this - those first two images especially! So...I got the app...but the link to Jerry Jobe's tutorial doesn't work and I can't find by searching. I'm looking for other guidance - I'm sure I'll find something.
ReplyDeleteHi Leon, I changed the link, although it worked from my browser, if not, Google AppWhisperer Jerry Jobe Artista Impresso.
DeleteI really love these images. Will look for app. I don't do still lifes, though I wish I could. (Hard to set up a space in a log cabin where walls are either log or windows and no plain backdrops, for one thing. Never use tripods or special lighting, either, i.e. I'm lazy.) I love them. These are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't get the tutorial link, either. :-(

DeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteJust fantastic, Roxi! The light falling on the book, and the way the flower just pops in a wonderful way ... I did get the Impresso app, I like it a lot ... Thank you for the tutorial!
