Hopefully I'll get back to posting a few more vacation photos but since this is the first of November.... I've decided to do 30 Days of Leaves (Trees). 

I just had to have a play on one of the last few days of our travels. I haven't done any 'scrapbooking' since Christmas I believe. So an itch was scratched.

I have just a few days left to post my 30 Days of Pumpkins for the month of September so I'm trying to plan a few biggies for the finale.

Today I played with some of my saved formulas in Mextures. I came across this colorful one and it was my favorite.

Another one I liked from the guest formulas category.

I couldn't resist a play in Stackables while I was at it.

And right now I'm tempted to try them in Waterlogue or Brushstroke for some painterly edits, but that will have to wait until tomorrow.

Paint and Ink iPhoneography

I have a tutorial over at E-scapeandScrap's blog today featuring painterly photos mixed with line drawings/sketches. In a nutshell, you need a black and white line drawing of your original image and a painterly version of the original. The black and white is layered over the painterly and the blend mode set to darken or multiply. Here are six more samples of this style of work.

Remember you can always add more adjustments to tweak your image.

Painterly Edits: Repix

I love paint! But I never seem to get my hands dirty. This digital painting stuff just really turns my crank. And one of the best things about it is the UNDO button. OMG it's perfect to eliminate frustration in my life. I'm featuring the Repix app on E-ScapeandScrap today. In fact I just did a Steller Story that shows a 20 step edit. Find it here. It doesn't show the filters on these photos though, just the painting process. Hope you enjoy!

Stackables for Mobile Texturing

It was a great day when Stackables was made available on iTunes. 

It's like an easy version of Photoshop. Their are only two things I would like to see added. Masking ability and a resizing feature that will let you use the textures with out being cut off. I have a tutorial over a the E-scapeandScrap blog today on using Stackables.

Utility Style Mobile Apps for the 30 Day Challenge

Friday Finds: Pure Enjoyment

Much to my surprise, this week I've found pure enjoyment in writing blog posts about iphoneography. I've looked forward to it, I've been 'lost' in it, and have even enjoyed doing some research on various apps. I have an assignment, an outline and 30 percent of my writing is already finished. You see my friend Julie Mead from E-Scape and Scrap asked if I'd be interested in helping her do a 30 day app challenge. Oh, how could I turn that down? She wanted to keep it very simple (she's a busy gal), but as we got started we knew it would be a lot of work to produce a post every day for 30 days and cover all the topics and apps we had planned.

My first post was on getting started with Instagram, the second on Camera+ and tomorrow's will be on doing clean edits and Snapseed. Julie's post today is using Hipstamatic and Mystic. Everyday we have a challenge and sometimes a tip. And for you Android users I've included Android alternatives when possible in upcoming posts.
