She sewed my clothes as a little girl until I took over, (needing to create my own sense of style). I don't think she made them because we couldn't afford store bought, although that was an issue. I believe she really loved putting fabrics together. I remember her helping my grandmother make her sister's wedding dress and my Barbie doll got one too from the white satin scraps. She had beautiful flower gardens, something passed down from her mom and her mom's mom. She'd probably be wondering why mine have so many weeds this year.
