Last year I began to revamp my flower beds. More on the reason why, later. Like I need one...
I had amassed quite a clump of lovely red and mustardy colored yarrow in an area that the bermuda grass was taking over. So it was rescued and moved to safe ground awaiting it's final destination. One of my mother's yellow daylilies was also moved to safety zone 1.
One day as I set out to shoot a few flowers I was amazed to FIND how perfectly placed everything was. I couldn't have planned this in a million years. I believe they've found a new home.
Lightroom edits.
I coudln't resist doing one in a vintage style.
There's only one lily bud left to open now. Makes me rather sad.
Linking up with Friday Finds.
Just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLove that first one especially. Your composition is superb. And yes, everything is placed perfectly!
ReplyDeleteSo lovely. Fabulous edit in the second image - love the warmth of the tones. Happy Friday. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a glorious explosion of color. Love the vintage processed one :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! {I'm with you ... I get rather sad when that last daylily blooms is done ...}
ReplyDeleteLove your processing everything looks wonderful....
ReplyDeleteDrool...my lilies have gotten SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO thick...they need thinned. Need more? What are the flowers behind the lilies? Terrific post! You little rescuer, you!
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are beautiful and your editing awesome....
ReplyDeleteBoth are really lovely, fun how mistakes are fantastic. I should love to have that garden but it is not going to happen here in the desert.
ReplyDeleteSo lovely, I do love the vintage one, such warm colors !
ReplyDeleteAbout the donkey, this one wasn't smelly :-)
Nice weekend,
Sylvia
Love the colors together - beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt's always sad when the lilies are coming to an end. Beautiful shot here. I love both processes you did - not sure I can pick which is my favorite. I hear you about rearranging the flower gardens, I am doing the same this year with mine - a lot of the moving will be done this fall.
ReplyDeleteYou - and a few others - have inspired me this summer to think of it as 'gardening' instead of 'yard work.' My own garden + camera = art.
