Friday Finds and Random Facts

I search for coffee cups on every trip I take. Lately I've been more picky about what I buy.
Yesterday I found this at our local grocery store. They really do have an awesome gift/decor area. This was another shopping trip where I had to go back and get a cart. I found a perfect 'vase' to go on the mantle, that I've put off redecorating, and it was heavy. Too heavy to carry with a cup and small watermelon and a cool package of napkins. I took one last glance toward the floral section and decided to go check out lest my purchase go over $100. That vase was more than what I normally spend on a purse. However I splurged on my last purse, and it's a gorgeous dusty coral!
This lovely holds a lot of coffee, I won't need a refill. Don't you love the scalloped edge? More coral. It's from Creative Co-op. I've noticed a few of their things at the grocer before. Now that I've visited their website I will have to investigate further. The nectarine was sooooo juicy, I will go back for more.

  1. Good find Roxi, I also have found some lovelies at the grocery. That is one stop shopping these days and can be expensive.

  2. You could have listed your grocery store purchases under the random 5 as well. LOL! Lovely cup, it is amazing how addictive those things can be. Thanks for the advance warning on the ticks in ND.

  3. Your new cup is very cute! And I had to laugh at your random facts, especially the last one. We have some bugs around here like that, too. It's very disconcerting.

  9. What a happy cup for Summer, as I'd probably pick that one for myself. Now that I've seen this nectarine, I'm heading to the kitchen to find myself a piece of fruit but will add nectarines to my shopping list.

I see you enjoy playing in the same programs I do but I've never tried Illustrator, is it hard? I'm currently using Photoshop CS6 and Lightroom 4.

    Have a wonderful weekend,

  12. Roxi,
How fun to find a coffee cup you love! I drink out of a travel mug from the Crop Insurance Lady. It’s the perfect size and shape. It is also "seasoned" and I take it with me everywhere.

I have heard the ticks are out, but have not seen any. I am checking the house dog and myself regularly. The Hubby has not mentioned ticks either. We keep the yard and around the out buildings mowed; I think that helps.

  13. Oh, I would have bought that cup too! Very pretty. And ticks, after living in the country for over 10 years, they are just part of spring and summer. Lol.

  14. The cup and nectarine: wowza color serendipity going on here! It says SUMMERTIME. Love the layout especially.
Thanks for the heads up on ticks. We get 'em here up in the mountains (cousins to their midwest kin). Nasty things.

  15. Cool cup....egads how do keep from getting ticks? Awful things that they are. I used to collect coffee cups from our travels, then decided I had too many of them and gave them away and stop buying them.
