Mobile Art Monday No. 25

This is one one my most favorite edits. It must to go on the wall.
Now, should I have it printed on canvas? Or perhaps I'll try and print it myself on some fine art photo paper. I've been wanting to try that. It may not be a delicate enough photo to make a difference. But somehow I envision fairies dancing among the flowers.

DistressedFX was my app of choice on this. This one is an earlier versions in my layering process.

The texture was bit heavy on this one.

I believe the best results are achieved by reducing the opacity of the texture layers quite a bit so you can add several and get good depth and tone with just a tiny bit of texture from each layer.

Of course it just bugs me that the bud on the left is cut off. I didn't have to crop it there and I just may try and go back in another app and flip that bud toward the right. Then the big problem will be to replicate my editing. One of these days I'll learn to always write down my steps.

Have a great Mobile Art Monday!

  1. Gorgeous edit, Roxi! I do love the first one. I didn't notice the bud at first ... perhaps you could look at it as adding a bit of tension to the image ...

  2. Ohh, I love it! Did you take the photo? Gorgeous! BTW, they do have paper canvas or maybe it's canvas paper in many sizes. Some have a coating and some don't. The inks on my printer do not dry well on the "coated" canvas, but you can always print on the other side. Depends on what size you want and if your printer can print that size.

  3. Just beautiful! I always have good intentions of writing it down too, but it never seems to happen, or I stop half way.

  5. Roxi, I am blown away by the way you work magic with a photo. Truly, the up top photo deserves a fine quality print - maybe a fine art water color giclee? You should be beaming with pride because your art is an extension of beautiful you!
