Texture Tuesday 7-29

I did a bit of homework for Be Still 52 perhaps in a different manner. At this point I'm confused because it's been over a week ago.
I photographed this set up at different times of the day so see how the light was. My space is small in this room but I love the light here in the summer. I also shot a day of full sun and a cloudy day. This is an east facing window so I often have to keep it filtered with a curtain. My range of 'view' is quite limited in this small space also. The tripod is seldom used but came in handy for this experiment.
I practiced one of my mottos last week. If you don't use it (or it's in the way) get rid of it. A small chair sat in this corner too. A girl at work took it off my hands. I think this room (sewing/painting/junk) needs another revamp. As my needs change, so should those things that I surround myself with. But that's a story for another day.

I used Kim's preset Melancholy on this one. (Lightroom)

Linking up with Texture Tuesday. Come on over and check out what everyone's been texturing.

  1. Wonderful to see your little set up, feeling exactly the way you are feeling, I need to revamp and get rid of things that are in my way and not using. Love seeing the 3 different views, so love that last one and the way the little flowers look close up. Wonderful and beautiful Roxi.

  5. I love all the warm tones in these still life photos. I think I particularly like the last one with the portrait orientation, a great perspective and crop.

  9. Roxi, I especially love the set up. I reminds me of some Dutch painting. What this needs is you at the camera. Now that would be really Dutch.

  13. Beautiful still lives. Great compositions. My favorite is the last photo. I love its gentle softness and the touch of blues at the bottom contrasting with the yellow at the top.
