What is it you 'think'?

Scripture says, What ever a man thinketh in his heart, he is. Proverbs 23:7 Oh, the power of thoughts! But wait, all thoughts don't come from the brain.

Science has in recent years discovered that the same type of 'thought nerves' that are in your brain also exist in your heart and your belly. This proves to me that you can 'know' things in your heart. Besides your brain, your heart is also a collector of knowledge. This knowledge is not based on logic. Those phrases, like "Gut feeling" aren't just a catch phrase. Your gut can really 'know' something. And so does your heart.

Throughout our growing up years we've collected lies about ourselves (and sometimes others) and stored them in our hearts. They've brought pain and thus created wounds there.
As for me, I believe there is one specific lie buried deep in my heart that keeps me from loving like one should be capable of.  I'm tired of living out of my head. I want a heart that is free. Free to love.
Oh, to have the heart of a child again. That is my prayer. One free of wounds and scars.
This coming year I commit to believing the truth as each lie in my heart is exposed. And not to be fearful of the big one at the bottom. To replace those lies with the truth and believe the truth about me.
