Peony Beginnings

I love their tight little buds. Seems the insects do too. As a child, ours always had ants crawling all over them.

    I love peonies and your edits are fabulous! Unfortunately, my peony plant only produced to blooms this year. Not sure what's wrong with it because it's an older plant and it seems that each year the blooms decrease. Maybe I need to fertilize more?
